From the Builder
This boat is a prime example of the versatility of the GH 47 platform. It was commissioned by owners seeking to enjoy a waterfront lifestyle made possible by the vessel's voluminous interior and ample storage capacity. We worked with them to create more home-like spaces in the saloon, dining area and master stateroom. This is typical of the work we are able to do as a semi-custom builder. They were then able to finish out and decorate the interior to their personal tastes without compromising the yacht's function or seakeeping abilities. At this point, the boat represents a somewhat blank canvas for the next owner. As is, it is equally capable to serve as a second home on the water, or a primary residence for a couple moving aboard to embrace the full-time cruising lifestyle.
Don't let the elegant touches fool you, because underneath, this boat features the same tough-as-nails construction and workboat-practical mechanical systems as all Great Harbour models, and is capable of sustained operation and long-distance cruising with economy. In warmer weather, the spacious flying bridge will often become a focal point for relaxation, while down below the addition of double doors in the stern ties the saloon and fantail into a contiguous social area, which when combined with the adjacent dining space and pilothouse settee, allows ample room to entertain a dozen or more guests in comfort. The master suite provides a cloistered retreat with writing desk, changing space and ample built-in storage. Overall, a buyer would be hard pressed to find a more elegant, comfortable and seaworthy yacht in this size range that offers as much.
