WELCOME TO THE FAMILY
When you buy a Great Harbour Trawler, you become part of our loyal family of owners. It begins when your new boat is under construction. You are always welcome to visit us at the factory to watching the progress as your dream boat takes shape, and to participate in the exciting decision making process. Spending time at our Gainesville facility while your boat is being built will allow you to become familiar with its inner workings and gain an understanding of how the important mechanical and electrical systems are installed and set up. |
WARRANTY SUPPORT - As your boat takes shape, our factory personnel will brief you on warranty coverage, explaining what is included and the details of having your boat serviced under warranty. You'll be given your Great Harbour Trawler Owner's Handbook, which includes Ken Fickett's "Straight Talk from The Boss," a direct and detailed explanation of your factory warranty. When you read it, you'll find that it's one of the strongest, most comprehensive and easy-to-understand warranty policies in the boating industry.
SERVICE AFTER THE SALE - Wherever your Great Harbour takes you, you can depend on us to help you with any service issues, whether covered by our warranty or not. We always suggest that if you have a problem or question, CALL US FIRST. We can often walk you through the solution, or we can talk directly to the manager of the boat yard where you are located, ensuring that you receive the accurate information needed to effect any needed service work or repairs..
SYSTEM SIMPLICITY - Our boats have fewer issues because they are ruggedly built, using robust and straightforward systems. In fact, Ken Fickett has said, "I build my boats so they can hit things and not be seriously damaged." He adds, "Our boats are not only rugged, they're relatively simple. And because we use only the top brands of widely-serviced equipment and appliances, getting things serviced is relatively easy. If you have an engine problem, you can get a Yanmar mechanic just about anywhere. If you have a problem with one of your galley appliances, you can call a GE appliance service center."
BREAK-IN ASSISTANCE - We take pride in showing you the right way to operate and maintain your new Great Harbour Trawler. First, we'll encourage you to create a "punch list" of items to be addressed upon taking delivery. And then we recommend putting 40 to 50 hours on your engines while in the North Florida area, so that we can take care of all the items on your "punch list." We'll even pay for your slip at the nearby Reynolds Park Marina for up to 45 days while we work with you, making sure you're totally satisfied that everything on your list has been taken care of.
HANDS-ON TRAINING - During this time you'll also be eligible to participate in our CruisePro trawler training program which features our "tips, techniques and procedures to help you safely get the most our of your new Great Harbour Trawler." If you understand the proper operation of your boat, how things work and how to maintain them, you'll have a much more enjoyable time cruising.
OWNER'S GROUP - Of course, the ultimate test for our factory support program is to speak with fellow Great Harbour owners. We'll gladly put you in touch with our owners who enjoy sharing their buying and cruising experiences with others. And we'll identify the latest owner's blogs and trawler forums, where you can read what others are saying about their Great Harbour experiences.
