Mirage Manufacturing's Home Page

We didn’t stay in business for more than 30 years by building boats just like everyone else’s. Our trawlers have had to be different, and they’ve had to be better. We didn’t stay in business for more than 30 years by shrinking from a fight, either. Conventional wisdom in boating nowadays is driven by the marketing efforts of big manufacturers. The internet has proven itself an excellent equalizer, however, letting us put forth opposing philosophies. This has been particularly true in our trawler sections because of the astounding amount of wrongheaded thinking in this growing niche market.

Above: Two N37s Semper Fi (with optional flybridge) and Jack of Hearts navigate the shallows at Pelican Cay in the Bahamian Abacos.

At right, the GH47 East Passage plies the shallow waters off George Town in the Bahamian Exumas.

Here’s the short answer to the question of why cruisers are buying the boats pictured above:

    FORM-STABLE HULL
    TWIN DIESEL ENGINES
    SHOAL DRAFT
    UNSINKABLE

    =

    SAFETY &
    COMFORT

This is how we define seaworthiness. Now if you’ve got a week or so of spare time, dig deep into this extensive website of ours. Find out more about these elements, and how they combine to make Great Harbour Trawlers the most versatile cruising vessels on the market today.

    And we charter, too
Our new N37 charter boat, Semper Fi  has been in service since December 2004, busily carrying charter customers up and down Florida’s St. Johns River and the Abacos in the Bahamas. Click here for more information!

Good sea stories: Bermuda, Panama Canal, Hawaii

We’re not trying to prove that our boats can go around the world. Those designs are usually undesirable for  the Bahamas or the ICW. We’re out to prove that we’ve got the most versatile vessels for the kind of cruising most Americans want to do, including trips to Bermuda, from Florida to San Diego and California to Hawaii.
